As Spring/Summer 2011 RTW shows come to a close, we’ve (willingly) ploughed through Style.com to bring to you our ‘Off the Runway’ Trending observations for your viewing pleasure! (:
Trending #1 – White

From Chloe’s clean lines to Andrew Gn’s (Singapore REPRESENT yo!) feminine frills, it seems like designers were all in cahoots to roll out looks of alabaster, ivory, chalk, pearl, snow, milk and the like.

For Alexander Wang, it was intentional. In his search for optimism and ‘something pure’, his colour palette steered clear of the dark or dreary. And kept, instead, to fresh and loose looks.

Stella McCartney, on the other hand, opted for more structure and shape. The suited high-waisted pencil pant look paired with sandals felt very current and comfortable. Albeit, perhaps not that much so in our climate.

And a minimalist take on the trend came in the form of Acne – this look, I would TOTALLY wear.
