Pedder Red has a a new collaboration with Wyman Wong, a multi-tasking celeb (of sorts?) from Hong Kong.
He created a tantalising five-piece collection inspired by the tailoring and work of fashion designers such as Martin Margiela, Christophe Decarin, and Yves Saint Laurent, and you’ll see why in the pictures.

Biker chains and mini dress for Christophe (Balmainia, Balmainia, Balmainia), and a poufy sweetheart tiered dress for Oscar.
How adorable, how adorable, HOW ADORABLE ARE THESE?

No prizes for guessing, this is Yves. The tuxedo at the back actually has two heels so that the trousers work better, and the flappy collar, lapel and bow-tie looks like a pretty bow at the back of the shoe from far.

Martin – The one with the mannequin on spindly legs is just pure sechzzzzz. So hawt!
My boyfriend was there with me in Pedder Red over the weekend to give his opinion and help me decide – but to no avail. When I saw the pictures, Yves was mine. But when I tried Martin on, I was torn.
Martin or Yves? Tough choice innit? Help me decide!

I not-so-recently adopted a new mission in life, and that was to find the perfect pair of jeans, the perfect white shirt, the use and abuse leather bag, the perfect watch, the all-purpose sunnies and, OH WAIT THAT’S LIKE FIVE THOUSAND MISSIONS.
Well, on the top of the list – JEANS! I’ve loved (a little too much) a pair of jeans from River Island and Uniqlo, and I’m ready to shell out some moolah on some designer jeans. I’ve done time fitting in Evisu, Seven for all Mankind, Sass & Bide, and some other cult-cult stuff whose names I can neither pronounce nor remember, but no, there were no super stunning designs or leg-lengthening/bum-lifting fits that made me want to pull out $500-600 dollars for glorified denim.
On my imaginary tai-tai day around Orchard Road one afternoon, I went into the house of checks and trenches and zomg jeans!!

I never knew Burberry sold jeans in its Brit line, and really wicked fitting ones at that. No cheesy monogram when you turn up the hem, no flashy 3yo-drawing-of-bird looking thing on your bum (lol), no fugly stitching trying to pass off as cool.

My fave is this pair, really skinny and very washed down the front, with huge zips at the ankle. I usually don’t like anything with a wash, but somehow I find this irresistable. Just like the man behind the brand. Nom nom.
Sturdy, not flashy, and it fits like a gloveeee. The great thing is that it’s just slightlyyyy under $500. Hello!
BTW, have you visited the store in ION? I love all of the interiors, and that they always use fresh eucalyptus – my fave um, foliage?

I got a feeling…
Its been growing and bubbling inside of me for awhile now.
Of late, my high level of exposure to Apple products (thanks to my friends) – Macbook Pros, Ipods, Iphone and the like have caused me to develop a new-found appreciation for Apple products.
I totally need to become an ‘Early Adopter’ its so much cooler. hahas. I admit, I’ve been a supporter of Creative Technologies products for the past 5 years

(Source)
I still remember my first mp3, the Creative MuVo Square. But after 3 years, I traded it in for a Creative Zen MX

(Source)
But after 2 years of loving use and after the warranty expired :/ it has been hit with the mysterious disease called ‘The White Screen of DEATH!’ ))): and according to the Creative Team, it’d cost $40 to diagnose the problem and an upwards of $80 to get the screen fixed.
*sigh*
I figure I might as well get a new mp3 but I’m still undecided on what to get.
(Source)
I quite like the Zen X-Fi2 size. Although it has functions like the Mic and RSS feed that I doubt I’d use. And even though, from what I gather, the sound quality is much better than Apples…

(Source)
Ipods are just sexier. hahas. (:
And after reading the nano specs, I’m quite smitten.

(Source)
But I’m still not sure! I need your thoughts/opinions/suggestions!!!
Haalp!

Different shoes make me feel different. I’m mostly in flats but different flats still conjure up a myriad of feelings that I cannot word coherently.

Nue Car Print Block Heels – (key in ignition, engine start up noise, rackety rumble of an old car) It makes me feel like an weird old car that sticks out like a sore thumb amongst traffic because of the colour and shape.
Cotton On crackled silver flats – A little mad and happy. Like I’m wearing aluminium foil, shiny side up.

Sperry Top Sider Boat Shoes – Like Nate Archibald’s BFF when they hit Hampton over summer.
Those are what I feel for most of my flats… but heels, wedges, platforms, stilettos.. (as long as they hover above 2 inches), they just make me feel like a slut.
Everyone looks awesome in heels, it gives them lengthy legs and curvy calves. (Well it kinda does to me too, just like it should on another other normal girl.)
I admire those people who LIVE in heels.. who wear heels everywhere and have long(er) legs everyday.
But I feel like it’s a SIN especially when I look at my profile in the mirror and see that I have some spindly things under my heel that’s entirely unproportionate to the rest of me.
Am I weird?
To make matters worse, I’ve fallen head over heels over the sluttiest pair of block-heel/heels/platform/sandal/shoes that one can ever imagine.

I do like the colour, the duo-texture heel, wood and cream-something, but I don’t like the gold in it (silver-is-cooler-than-gold phase I’m having. (Isn’t it weird whenever someone points out the phase they’re in? Like I know that I’m having a phase and I’m not getting out of it…))
And like, animal skin is like, sooo slutty?!?!?!? (OMG I’m beginning to sound like one! If bimbo=slut=bimbo). My feet would feel so exposed! Cleavage!
They’re USD110 and I’m probably only gonna wear them twice. Once to an event I have in mind… and er.. I haven’t thought about the other one. But still I’m gonna ask – SHOULD I GET THEM?
Heh.
To leave you with an un-slutty image of me, here’s my boyfriend and I spending the day at Haji Lane eating ice cream with shoes that cover our feet completely. No photo evidence but I assure you that they were.

1 scoop of whisky and prune, 1 scoop of sea salt macadamia
2 more exams to be sat for!

Since late March, I have been preparing and wrapping up the last few weeks of school and all of my projects, presentations and assignments.
In addition, there has been a lot of studying/cramming/freaking out about the end-of-term examinations as they loomed closer and closer since two weeks ago.
Currently, I am left with a one-paper-left hurdle to cross before the summer holidays are upon me

and I can’t wait!!!
But, that’s not to say that things get easier after the finals… Nope. In fact, I anticipate being even more busy with a school trip to Israel, a sporting event and heavy involvement in Student Life activities.
However, in spite of all this school buzz, lingering at the back of my mind has been these!

Maunes by ALDO *ahhh… love. (((:
At 12pm yesterday afternoon, whilst taking a short break from studying about ‘Management of People at Work’, I devised a plan to eventually have these shoes in my possession.
Sarah’s plan to own a pair of Maunes
Step 1: Sit tight for 1.5 months
Step 2: Wait for the GREAT SINGAPORE SALE 2009 (that commences on 29 May)
Step 3: Wait/Hope the shoes go on discount
Step 4: BUY THEM, OWN THEM, LOVE THEM!!! (((:
My approach was very logical: I’ll wait out the one and a half months.
They’ll be nearing their end-of-season run. They’ll (hopefully) be on discount.
I’ll purchase them then. And save some cash while at it.
Foolproof right?
Well,
The boyfriend and I had dinner at Suntec City in the evening. And I wanted to show him these shoes that I’ve been gushing about. We went to the store and !!!
They weren’t there! O.O!!!
If you heard (and felt) this loud ‘thud!’ at 8.45pm yesterday, that was my heart hitting the ALDO store floor.
I stood at the shelf and stared for at least a full minute. Did I imagine the shoes? There were similar designs but stiletto versions and the Maunes were nowhere to be seen. ):
I asked the staff. He made some calls. I think I said “I’ll die if they are sold out or don’t have my size”. I’m not too sure. I was in despair. It was all a blur.
Then, the magic words:
“Ma’am, we have one pair left in size 39 and 40 at the Raffles City outlet.”
RESERVED. THEM. FOR. ME. NOW. PLEASE. (!!!)
Ok! Chuck the plan out the door. Must have them now!
Went over to Raffles City. The staff had reserved the wrong pair of shoes. (?!) But not wanting to endure that ordeal again,
I bought them.

*insert radiating glow and aura here*
(:

As compared with the internet images I’ve pulled which feature the shoe in suede, this pair is made of leather. And I really love how the wedge joins and molds with the rest of the shoe.
Expect to see them with a many future outfit photos

Awhile ago, the Fashion Nation girls posted about tie dye here.

(Source)
Furthermore, the Vogue Korea spread that Jo mentioned earlier (here),

had me mesmerized by this set of leggings!!!
Furthermore, I’ve had this idea of a tie dye party lingering in the back of my mind for some time…
Then, I got word from the grapevine that the Fashion Nation girls would be having some yummy goodies (of the above sorts) in their next Fashion Nation Guerrilla Store session.
Eagerly anticipating, I’ve been religiously checking back to know the all-important details.
Lo and behold…

Its CONCURRENT with my birthday celebration with the girls ))):
WHY!!!
*the birthday girl can arrive fashionably late, right???

I know some people who would pick up a dress or a skirt over manly leg-separating garments (omg I sound so crude.) But I can’t do without my pants/trousers/trews/jeans/garment to fit legs.
If you’re wondering who… I’m think Susie Bubble & The Clothes Horse for starters.
Too often, you’ll catch me in a pair of jeans and a something and hopefully that something is interestingly put together. To minimize the occurence of un-happening outfits I have decided to expand the pant section of my wardrobe.

Camilla & Marc Jacoba Pants, $226
There are something about black and white pannelled leg things. Camilla & Marc chose to panel this pair down the middle, which slims your stems from the front. I think cos it’s black it makes you look slimmer from the side too.
Dear Karl placed the black and white panel on the side of the wondrous Chanel tights, which kinda visually halves your calves and thighs.
Ooo I need these.

My Pet Square Slouch Rayon Pants, $159
Yes I know these scream work pants all over… but imagine the nice soft rayon caressing your skin as you speedily navigate the concrete jungle that is Singapore. Mmm. Cute pleats too!

Bassike Slouchy Jersey Pant, $123
These are my ideal pair of drop-crotch pants. They even trump CDG for me!
A nice snug fit on the calves and enough of a poopied diaper look at the crotch (why am I so coarse today!).
I am <this> close to checking my cart out with this pair of pants innit.

Ruby Smallbone Liquid Shorts, $267
Shiny. Metallic. Crinkled. Drawstring. Must. Be. Mine.

These are from etsy seller missmars and they’re called MC Hammer Pants, $42. No clue? Go wiki.
Another one on my to-consider/buy list… but the shipping is making them these pair as expensive as the Bassike ones. And I get free shipping on the Bassike pair!
Grumble mumble.
Which do you prefer?

Sarah is in the midst of her first ebay auction!!!
And she is so excited!!
However, someone else seems to really want the same item i want too )):
I can see how this is addictive.
But can’t understand how people could deal with the disappointment of not getting what you want.

So, I was looking through Juice magazine the other day…

When i came across

Dr. Martens Originals’ Autumn 2008 range is out!! and I am in LOVE with these all-white pair!!! *sarah swoons and sighs like you can’t imagine!!* (thus the insertion of many many exclamation marks
(!!)
But at approximately $200 a pair, i hesitate to shell out the moo-lah for a pair of shoes that’ll dirty quicker than you can blink!
But, then again, it would be fun to try out looks from Limi Feu’s SS09 Collection

Even if i dont have full, volumous, tiered skirts.
So what wil it be?? Go? or No Go?
