Last I measured (which was quite some time ago) my height was a decent 171cm. Slightly above average, there isn’t much need (for both vertically and practicality’s sake) to be wearing heels.

But that has never stopped my love and appreciation for beautiful shoes, especially the high-heeled sorts… It’s either 3inches and above or nothing. Painful as it may potentially be, I really love the arch created and how it elongates.

Friends sometimes ask how I can walk in 4-inch heels the whole day. And why I’d subject myself to such pain and torture and inconvenience (balancing on the bus in 4-inch heels, with bulky bag and laptop in hand is a skill yo!)

But as if 4 inch heels aren’t scary enough.

Meet Burberry’s AW09 Shoes

According to Burberry, these shoes have a towering 18cm heel! Can you imagine being almost 20cm taller?! WOAH! Crazily insane but pure LOVE. Pure 7inches of LOVE!

Burberry AW09 Braided Platform Sandals

There is something very understated yet lustable about this leather strap detailing, wood platform and rubber sole combination. Fierce and feminine and yet not over-the-top blinged out.

And usually, when I think of wedge platforms, my first point of recall is the images of scarring ah-lian footwear – wedge platform foam slippers.*shudders*

On contrary however, I’m really digging these suede wedge ankle boots. Understated cool. I’d wear these in a heartbeat!

And if finances permitted (which is so totally NOT going to happen), this is how I’d  wear it.

Yu are so cool

So… the person behind the confused/cool Balenciaga jacket + hamburger + slouchy pants is Yu Masui – a Japanese fashion journalist and consultant.

I thought I’d imagine how I’d wear my very own (imaginary) Balenciaga.

And this – with a little Masui in it!

Complete with a cheesy “I <3 Japan” sling, heh

Do you sometimes find yourself dressing to match your accessories? Especially when it comes to unique finds?
Well, my glove obsession grows… this time, its a short driving glove. I like the space above the wrist. It reminds me of a pair that was part of a ck ad a long (long) time ago.

Look 4:

more of my non-tropics-friendly loves are emerging. :) trenchcoats, boots, gloves. *wills for snow in singapore!* hahas.

Resistance is futile!

Since my holidays are here, I thought I’d give polyvore a shot.

Look 1:

Look 2:

both looks central around the long blue gloves with button details. (I have a tendency for loving non-tropical-climate-friendly clothing, but what the heck!) and i find myself second guessing my choices. especially the second look, with dr. martens and that hat. :/ but, to me, they look ok.

and the more i look at ‘em dr. martens, the more the beckon me to buy them!!! (i can just imagine jo saying ‘resistance is futile!!!’ hahas.) How much ARE dr. martens?

Hello, are you a Polyvore whore?

I am :X

Which is not the best thing to be when the exams are creeping up on me.

Anyway, I thought that while I’m at it, I’ll infiltrate some of your time and get you guys addicted instead!

I’ve met some stylists, and while it must be damned difficult to be scouring the whole of Singapore (despite our small size) for something they already have in mind. But if you’re a pseudo, self-proclaimed (hahahah) stylist which I imagine myself to be, you can whip up some stunning stuff with Polyvore in a matter of seconds!

Yes, yes you can do it in photoshop and what-have-you, but this is wayyy more convenient. And it’s great that it’s a community where people can leave their comments and add your set to their favourites, just so that you know you’re not concocting some outrageously weird outfit, haha. Some people use it for interior design and some form of visual art too!

Here are some of the stuff that I have attempted so far. Let me know what you think!

Now I wish I have the resources to dress like this, haha. Maybe I’ll post some random styles in time to come (:
