I’m trying to do the pervy just-say-a-6-pack-on-legs-with-a-totally-cute-face-walk-past hel-lo!
Can you tell?
Anyway, it’s because I’m welcoming this pair of Alaia’s to partake in my communion of height-enhancing footwear. And I won them on eBay at USD99 + 30 (shipping), with no other bidders.
No other bidders. Are you guys crazy or what?

My other Alaia is was a suede belt, bought for a dollar, with a price tag of $790, that now belongs to Sarah.
Okay now make a beeline to oogle at my shoes. I secretly hope everyone’s jealous ahhahahah. Hope they fit! (:

Jo and I participated in Flea Titan on a whim and in an attempt to clear our closet plus to get some moolah (for more beautiful things).
Damn the economic crisis.
I was a bit busy and preoccupied to take during and after shots of the flea so I only have before shots to share…

We had some technical difficulty setting up the rack.
But thankfully it held up!
(At the booth next to ours, the rack literally broke! 0.0! and adjacent to our booth, their rack kept swaying :/)

Our table + rack. Fully utilized.

Everything in the bucket/tub went for $1 each. (and there were ppl still trying to bargain and be fussy at $1. seriously?! hahas)
Towards the end, in her bid to not bring home her stuff was giving her stuff away, shouting ‘Free shoes! Free clothes!!!’ and I swear everyone within earshot froze in their tracks and stared at her in disbelief. hahas. it was quite funny.
All in all a fun day… even though food was nightmarishly expensive!
Thank you for supporting Wottoncool’s $1 and $2 goodness! (:

Here’s what Jo wore to Uniqlo’s press preview.

Striped dress, Topshop. Polka dot jacket in reverse colours inside, Church’s $1 thrift store. Bubble wrap and striped jersey neck thing, Bangkok.
Excuse my act cute face.
Oh clashing prints, how original. I just needed a confusing amalgamation of patterns to hide my burgeoning tummy… And bum, and fat legs.
Tata!

I got this case for a $1 steal while sourcing for gifts for our blog’s birthday giveaway.

Denim Vest: from my childhood
White Tank top: Uniqlo
Butterfly print skirt: Espirit
Shoes: Charles and Keith
Cream Case: Church thrift store
Used it for school the other day. Quite fun but requires that the case be on my lap or any other flat surface to open and avoid it’s contents spill out.
More close-ups soon!
Does anyone know where I could possibly have the bag professionally cleaned?

On Sunday, I had the opportunity to check out Jo’s infamous $1 Thrift Store from which she has gotten many enviable gems.

Within half an hour, we found goodies aplenty!

I’m really excited with the purchases!
But alas! We aren’t keeping most of our finds.
Jo and I have something planned…

And you could be the proud owner of the contents of these bags!!!
Stay Tuned!!!

Egads! It is February no more!
And I feel bad for not posting more than I have. :/
So here is a really rough roundup of the second of many more busy months to come.

I tried to incorporate as many warm colours,

into an outfit, subtly channelling the Valentine colours.
Lips: BodyShop Lip/Cheek Stain
Top: Dorothy Perkins
Vest: This Fashion
Shorts: Baleno
Sandals: Random Far East Plaza Shop
[PS: Colour on my lips make me look more awake than I actually am]

On a random day, like any other. I was walking towards the bus interchange. Minding my own business. Thinking about nothing in particular.
Then, it happened.
I looked up. The crowds parted. The stars aligned. Time stood still.
There they were…

LOVE! <3
Sitting. Beckoning. Calling out my name. *sigh*
I thought nothing of it. Another marketing ploy, to make me part with my money. Another temptation; an itch to add to my existing collection. Surely my shoes could do with another friend… Ahh! The reasoning! The seemingly logical explanation for why I would need yet ANOTHER pair of shoes…
I resisted.
But for the next 2 days, they were never far from thought. How they belonged to me. I was referring to them as my shoes. (oh no… hahas. don’t you sense trouble?)
Then, I got it.
My sign.

My beloved petal cut-out flats I was wearing that day broke!

And began the slow and painful process of crocodile-ing on me. )):
*A moment’s silence for the loss of my beloved flats*
And from our losses we must learn to move on. So, taking a break from studying for the midterms that week, a friend and I trooped down to the nearest Charles & Keith outlet for a much-needed dose of retail therapy.
(:
Sad to say though, the expectations of the shoes far exceeded the ‘performance’ (my Marketing Professor would be so proud with my application of concept) of the shoes when I put them on. So no Cinderella moment there…
But, there IS a happy ending after all.

Meet my new shoes!

And the dress I wore with it.

You like?

Well, whatever it is, the magic spell/potion/formula/voodoo/chant/bewitchment/enchantment/hex that the Charles & Keith’s SS09 collection has, has got me mesmerised.

My shoes, but in a different colour combination

Loving their bags

And belts!

And MORE bags!!

And cute flats! (The model looks so happy wearing the flats)

May I have this bag PLEASE!!!!!

Then the mid-term break came by…
and I had to attend an etiquette test. Formal attire required. Not always the most comfortable of clothing, I brought along a top from Abyzz by Desmond Yang.

Unconventional yet comfortable, it drapes in such odd and interesting ways.
Paired with my dress pants, folded up, I went for an uber casual & relaxed look.

The piece can also be worn reversed (back-to-front), giving it a completely different look.
And its really fun how the texture of the fabric and the drapes can be subtly molded to create a different effect. Plus the secret pocket is a fun touch!

Yet another day, obsessed with my new C&K shoes, let me introduce my new bag!

It came with a strap (which was a major swing factor in purchasing the bag instead of the C&K one above) but before I could make my way down the stairs, the strap broke! :/
thank goodness I bargained for a cheaper price, makes me slightly less upset to have to go strapless.
Dress: Salvation Army
Leggings: Gift from Boyfriend. Bought in Bangkok, Thailand
Shoes: Charles & Keith
Bag: Random Store in Far East Plaza
uber long post.
Will do my best to update more frequently. (Hopefully not at the expense of less sleep)

I hide my fat arms in a nice roomy jacket.
I went for an interview yesterday, and this is what I wore. Not anything radical… I’m never refreshingly new in terms of style, I feel. but what’s important is me liking it and not being an eyesore.

Top: Striped asymmetrical top from Topshop, white sheer jersey chemise from American Apparel
Jacket: Tweed blazer, thrifted from church at only $1!
Bottoms: Black shiny leggings from Topshop
Shoes: Black patent pumps with tortoise shell block heel from Charles & Keith
Neck things: Random black skinny scarf, bubble-wrap bauble necklace from Siam Square, Bangkok
Yes, yes, leggings are not pants/bottoms to many of you. But I believe that as long as you’re not exposing your bum you’re safe.

My love and appreciation for vintage togs has blossomed over the past year.

Dress: vintage, ‘thrifted’ from X-wen
Belt: Cotton On
However, sometimes…
I still have troubles reconciling with the “kindergarten school teacher” feeling I get.
