Marni had its new store’s official opening in Paragon last Friday. (Particularly auspicious if you ask the bloggers.. what with five events between 5.30pm and 10pm that night!)
We tagged along with Bagaholicboy to go have a look-see and discovered some awfully desirable metal and leather confections, and here are the case studies:
1. Clogs. The fashion’s footwear au courant, but in a plum patent, built on a solid wooden wedge, reinforced with metal strips, and a slingback to go around your ankle.
I swear this exists for the sole purpose of carving an insurmountable desire and void in my heart and imaginary shoe wall.
2. Aviators. Smooth and suave in a dark tint, but handsomely dorky with leather trim across the bridge and around the O.O circular lenses.
Both of which I thought were prefect add-ons to Sarah’s boyish monochrome get-up gearing up towards the Halloween weekend.
She had on a basic Zara shirt, black suspenders, New Look flats, vintage Picard document bag and Tina Borg pants
that have unique pleating details at the knees. But sadly they are rather lost is the black.
